Purpose of the Post

Due to company growth we are looking to add the role of Supported Living Manager to our experienced and dedicated operational team. The post is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious manager to join an expanding company who are one of the region’s leading providers of services to people with learning disabilities and associated complex support requirements, including autistic spectrum conditions, mental health needs, challenging behaviour, profound and multiple learning disabilities and epilepsy.

 

The Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who shares our values and who has the experience and skill set to lead on the delivery of our Supported Living developments. You will have a background of working with social workers, local authorities and other partnership agencies and specifically with the client group that currently use our services.

You will have a lead role in taking projects forward from concept to completion, and then overseeing the delivery of services once they are fully operational. You will be able to work independently to lead on these projects with assistance from other colleagues and receiving external support as required.

 

As part of your role you will be expected to report regularly to the Operations Director and Managing Director. Although initially based at our head office in Havant, Hampshire, the post will require you to travel regularly to the various site locations, so a full valid driving licence is essential.

 

Skills & Experience Requirements

You will possess a strong, demonstrable record in the development of supported living services for people with complex support needs and will have experience of providing operational leadership once each scheme is up and running. You will ideally have experience within the Supported Housing sector. You will also need to be able to manage a programme of projects at different stages in their development so project management experience would be beneficial.

Suitable candidates will have NVQ Level 5 or NVQ 4 (and already working towards an NVQ 5) and, preferably a minimum of three years management experience within the learning disability or mental health sector.
