Abbey House will open in Netley Abbey, just outside Southampton in January 2018 to provide specialist care for eight adults with Prader Willi Syndrome, between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
Our aim is to provide service users with a relaxed and comfortable environment, where they are encouraged to become active and valued participants within both their home setting and local community.
Our staff have been specially trained to deal with the exacting needs of people with Prader Willi syndrome and we have a dedicated Activity Co-Ordinator on site to ensure those living at Abbey House have active and fulfilling lives. We also have dedicated Dietician input to maximise the effectiveness of our service.
All bedrooms are large and for single occupancy and have en suite wet room facilities and we encourage service users to personalise their home to their own taste. There are 2 large living rooms and we also have an outside Activities room.
Abbey House, as with all of Dolphin Homes’ specialist units provides long term care and prospective service users are given the opportunity of a trial visit before making a decision.
All of Dolphin Homes’ services are CQC Registered and if you would like to see what CQC have to say about Abbey House, please click here.
