At Dolphin Homes we aim to give our service users all kinds of positive experiences, including those which combine activity, knowledge and having fun; all of which were certainly had by the eight service users from Sea Breeze who recently visited the Milestones Museum in Basingstoke. As its name suggests, the museum celebrates key times in our history and brings them to life with activities such as issuing visitors with ration books that they can use in the wartime themed stores. There is also an old style sweetshop, pub, exhibitions of old transport vehicles and lots of items from the past which show how we used to live. All of our Sea Breeze service users really enjoyed the hands on activities and meeting the staff who walk round in costume. It was a really good day out – enjoyable, atmospheric and informative too.
