Osprey Court

Osprey Court is a new service opening in Spring 2021 it will provide nursing care for 16 people from the age of 18 upwards who have an acquired brain injury or a neurological condition. We will support complex health needs including high respiratory need including people who have a tracheostomy and also who require ventilation support.  The ethos of our service  is for people to have the best quality of life within the limitations of their conditions.

Osprey Court is located adjacent to Kingfisher Court in North Baddesley. It is a stunning location surrounded by woodland with lovely wildlife including Deer and Rabbits visiting regularly.

Even though the location is rural and peaceful it is accessible by public transport and we also have wheelchair accessible minibuses to assist people to where they wish to go. Southampton with its fantastic west quay is only a ten minute drive away, Romsey a ten minute drive . Portsmouth and Gunwharf Keys forty five minutes as well as the picturesque New Forest.

Whilst care standards need to be excellent it is about what people do with their days and lives that is the focus of person centred care at Osprey Court.

We aim to provide a ‘Person Centred’ approach to care. Person Centred means doing things in the way that the person wants, placing them at the centre of the process. Taking into consideration their family and friends and focusing on their ability ‘what is important to the person and the supports needed.’

Sharing the commitment to action and change and not focusing on the disability but rather on their ability. Person Centred Planning does not finish when the plan is written. It begins here, and requires continuous listening, learning and action as the person develops and opportunities unfold.
