Beach View opened in Elmer, Middleton-on-Sea (near Bognor Regis) in West Sussex in July 2008 to provide specialist care for up to 10 individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
Our aim is to provide service users with a relaxed and comfortable environment where they are encouraged to become active and valued members of both their home and local community.
Beach View has been specifically adapted to cater for service users with severe physical disabilities with wheelchair access throughout and a purpose built lift. All 10 bedrooms are much larger than standard at almost 20m2 as an average and are for single occupancy. All rooms have en suite wet room facilities which again are oversized. Two communal bathrooms are also provided for those service users who prefer to bathe.
There is a large communal living and dining area and a separate sensory room is also available to relax or be stimulated in.
Beach View, in common with all Dolphin Homes’ LD/PD units, encourage service users to personalise the home to their own taste, especially their bedrooms, and all prospective service users are given the opportunity of a trial visit before making a decision.
All of Dolphin Homes’ services are registered with the CQC and if you would like to see what the CQC have to say about Beach View, please see below.
